The Lakeland Alumnae Chapter has provided quality programming and projects for over 40 years in Polk County.  We believe communities are stronger when we partner and collaborate. We are very proud of our partnership with the American Cancer Society – Making Strides of Polk County. For the last 3 years, we have been the Top Team and Top Company,  and we plan to be the top contributors again this year!

• Assisted and participated with Voter Registration drive-by events sponsored by Polk County Voters League
• Sponsored  a Financial Literacy Forum
• Sponsored 3 Youth Programs (Delta Academy, Delta GEMS, & EMBODI) program for Polk County youth
• Participated in virtual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk (Team Name: LAC Remembers)
• Participated in virtual March of Dimes, March for Babies Walk (Team Name: LAC Remembers)
• Supported World AIDS Day with the Polk County Health Department
• The Arts & Letters Committee hosted a virtual Youth Essay Workshop
• The Arts & Letters Committee hosted a virtual How to Write a Book Workshop II
• Launched “Delta Red Pages Business Directory” for Black Female Business Owners in Polk County
