Through the International Awareness and Involvement (IAI) programmatic thrust, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated harnesses its vast potential to strategically impact the plight of people living across the diaspora.

The Lakeland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. proudly participated in the 2026 Circuit 10 Human Trafficking Symposium, joining community leaders, advocates, service providers, and law enforcement in raising awareness about one of the fastest-growing crimes affecting our communities. Through education, collaboration, and advocacy, chapter members engaged in meaningful discussions focused on prevention, survivor support, and community action. Our participation reflects Delta Sigma Theta’s unwavering commitment to Social Action by helping educate the public, strengthen community partnerships, and support efforts to end human trafficking and protect vulnerable individuals.

For World AIDS Day, the Lakeland Alumnae Chapter supports HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. On December 1st of each year, we add our voices to the worldwide conversation about this disease that disproportionately affects our community. We were RED in solidarity.
